Text Block Author News Blog

Text Block Author is a "virtual index card simulator" of sorts for writers. It allows writers, teachers and students to write, arrange, and outline their projects using small chunks of formatted text in "blocks". There are a lot of options and features and the list is growing regularly.

This simple little blog exists for one purpose: to let the users and future users of the writing software "Text Block Author" know what's going on with the program's progress and development.

If you haven't seen the software you should take a look at the website to learn more about it.

Version 1.3 Update

This version fixes some bugs, attempts to address some issues for specific system configurations, and adds a minor (but useful) feature. This is primarily as bug-fix release, as most development time is being devoted to version 2.0 of the software.

Features added:
- Buttons to control text color based on block color.

Also, A helpful note from a TBA User: "For anyone who needs spell checking I can recommend tinySpell (www.tinyspell.com) which works with Text Block Author. It runs in the system tray and monitors what you type as you type. It pops up a tooltip if it detects a misspelt word and can also give an audio prompt as well. There is a freeware version too. "
